This cookie policy explains what cookies are, which cookies we use on this website and how you can change your choice at any time. It supplements our privacy policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that your browser stores when you visit a website. Among other things, they help to remember your settings or to analyse how a website is used. Related technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, work in a similar way. In this policy, we refer to all of them as “cookies”.
Technically necessary cookies
These cookies are required to operate the website and are set without separate consent. They include a cookie that stores your decision in the cookie banner so that you are not asked again on your next visit. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in functional and legally compliant operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Consent-based cookies and services
All cookies for audience measurement and marketing are only set after you have given your explicit consent in the cookie banner. These include:
- Google Tag Manager: manages the services listed below and controls when they are triggered.
- Google Analytics: analyses the use of the website in anonymised form in order to improve it.
- Google Ads: measures the success of ads (conversion tracking) and enables relevant ads to be shown (remarketing).
You can find details on these services, the providers involved and processing outside the EU in our privacy policy. The legal basis in each case is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG).
Changing your choice
You can adjust or withdraw your decision at any time. The cookie settings can be accessed from the footer of every page. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings or restrict their use in general. Please note that some functions may then no longer be fully available.
